Assumption of Risk
Surfing is a physically demanding ocean activity that involves inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to:
- ocean waves and currents
- collisions with surfboards or other participants
- marine life
- slippery or rocky surfaces
- changing weather and ocean conditions
- physical exertion and fatigue
By participating in surf lessons or using equipment provided by Perfect Sunset School, you acknowledge that you understand these risks and voluntarily accept them.
Health and Physical Condition
Participants confirm that they are physically capable of participating in surfing activities. You agree to inform instructors of any medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations that could affect your ability to safely participate. Perfect Sunset School reserves the right to refuse participation if a participant’s condition may present a safety risk.
Responsibility and Conduct
Participants agree to:
- follow all safety instructions provided by instructors
- respect ocean safety guidelines
- use surf equipment responsibly
- behave respectfully toward instructors and other participants
Failure to follow instructions or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the activity without refund.
Equipment Use
Perfect Sunset School may provide surfboards and related equipment for lessons and program use. Participants are responsible for using the equipment properly and returning it in good condition. Any damage caused by negligence or misuse may result in additional charges.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release and hold harmless: Perfect Sunset School its owners instructors staff members partners and affiliates from any responsibility or liability for:
- personal injury
- illness
- accidents
- property loss or damage
that may occur while participating in surf lessons or related activities.
Ocean and Weather Conditions
Surf lessons and ocean activities depend on weather and ocean conditions. Perfect Sunset School reserves the right to:
- modify lesson schedules
- change surf locations
- cancel lessons
if ocean or weather conditions are considered unsafe. These decisions are made solely for participant safety.
Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Perfect Sunset School is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
Travel Insurance Recommendation
Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance that covers:
- accidents
- medical emergencies
- trip interruption
- sports activities
Participant Agreement
By participating in surf lessons or using surf equipment provided by Perfect Sunset School, you confirm that:
- you have read and understood this waiver
- you voluntarily agree to participate
- you accept the risks involved in surfing activities
