Physical preparation is a planned and structured program that guides the athlete to adapt as best as possible to the specific characteristics of the sport they practice or to achieve their personal goals at a physical level as they progress through the program itself.
Physical preparation for surfers should include exercises that help the surfer assimilate the surfing activity. In addition, in the case of surfing, its recommended to propose exercises out of the water to avoid injuries and achieve a more lasting practice in addition to gaining more powerful surfing.
Any complementary physical activity will make you perform at a better level if you compare it with doing nothing else, and this is how functional training in surfing, stretching for surfers, or yoga for surfing was born. However, putting the word surfing at the end of any activity is not the same as carrying out a structured plan to achieve a particular goal.
So, if you want to know how surfing is trained, you should know that the surfer’s physical preparation should include:

What do we exercise?
