Read More friendly, but also guests started to introduce them self right away, smiling, being welcoming. We knew right away that we gonna feel very comfortable here 2. Great location We surfed with instructors 1 time a day, but if we wanted to surf more we easily were able to take the board from the campus and walk to the beach. 3. Delicious food. There is private chef onside who cooks delicious breakfasts and dinners! 4. Rooms are comfourastble and clean Me and my friend rented private room for 2 of us - it was super convenient, because we had our own space + hammock + additional shower outside. 5. Classes Any class you booked is well organized and instructors are very educated and friendly. I took surf, yoga and Spanish. Loved each one. My friend took free diving and she said it is super helpful knowledge even for surfing. 6. Great communication While booking the camp Gustavo replied and answered all the questions right away. Everything was super clear. I highly recommend visiting this camp, and already thinking of going back!

If you love falling asleep to the sound of waves (like we do!) you'll love it there! We stayed in the private room and took up Spanish and surfing. ... Read More So how was our stay? In one word, amazing! Why was it amazing? First off, the staff. The custodians (Edgar & Cathy) were tremendously helpful. They helped us out of a bind even before we got to the school and continued being helpful throughout our stay. The cleaning staff kept our room spotless on a daily basis. And the food was amazing. Surfing is hard work and it would be much harder without the delicious and nutritious food we received at the school. Speaking of surfing, the surfing instructors were all eager to help us learn and pushed us, without preasuring, to improve daily even when we were having a bad day. We were able to catch proper waves in the second week and this would not have been possible without them. The same can be said about our spanish teacher (Christina). She kept our lessons fun and educational, always happy to answer any questions we had and very accommodating to our personal educational needs. Secondly, the school itself. Situated between ne bustling Santa Teresa and the gorgeous Playa Hermosa we were far enough from all the hustle and bustle while still having access to both. We usually walked but hitchhiking, a public bus, a taxi or renting an ATV were all available options. Just infront of the school at the beach are also tide pools to go chill in and watch the sunset, which we recommend you do at least once if not daily. If you want to see all the wildlife you can experience in and around the school we suggest you check out their Instagram page. And last but not least, the atmosphere and people. We actually stayed longer so we could be there for the Christmas party. There is a really chill vibe at the school and we had such a great time with everyone there. The weekend cookouts, the lively conversations at the dinner table, going on trips together and grabbing drinks. All in all a tremendous time! We sincerely hope you have as an amazing time as we had! I could not recommend this place enough. The location is beautiful, food is amazing and the staff are incredible. I've travelled all over the world in the past 15 years... Read More and have always heard about places that make you "feel like family," but Perfect Sunset School truly delivers on this. I came to surf for three weeks, and even though the waves were good, it was the conversations and time spent with the staff and other students that made this such an incredible trip for me. I'd come back again and again and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a laidback place to enjoy the Nicoya Peninsula.

Perfect Sunset was an amazing experience. I only spent one week there but it was so much fun and I learnt to surf a wave for the first time with... Read More Gus and improved my Spanish with excellent teaching from José. Gustavo is an excellent host and is great fun to drink with!! All of the volunteers at the centre are friendly and welcoming and always up for a party! The food was great, always nice local breakfasts and dinners. Accommodation is comfortable, I was in a dorm room with 4 others and it was fine. The location is quiet and is right by the water. We went into Santa Teresa plenty of times using taxis or hitch hiking which worked fine. I would have like to have stayed longer, I think 2 or 3 weeks would be a good length of time. Also, as advertised, theres a perfect sunset every evening! Cheers for a great stay guys, Tom
